Portia Ann Doubleday, born June 22, 1988, is an American Actress. Portia was featured in the 2009 film Youth in Revolt as Sheeni Saunders. More recently Portia appeared in the Carrie 2013 remake as Chris Hargensen. She currently stars as Angela Moss in USA Network’s hit television drama, Mr. Robot (2015).
Portia was born in Los Angeles, California and is the daughter of Christina Hart and Frank Doubleday. Both her parents are former professional actors and her older sister Kaitlin is also an actress. Portia attended the Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies. Portia also played soccer for twelve years. In 2010, Portia studied psychology in college.
At the age of eight, Portia appeared in a commercial for Goldfish crackers. She also had a small role in the 1998 film, Legend of the Mummy. Portia was cast in the pilot for the television series, United States of Tara. However, the creative team decided to go in a different direction with her character. In 2009, Portia appeared in the short film 18. Portia starred opposite Michael Cera in the 2009 comedy film Youth in Revolt.
In 2011, Portia appeared in the ABC comedy series as Heather in Mr. Sunshine.
Portia portrayed Chris Hargensen in the 2013 film adaptation of Carrie. The character Chris was a natural brunette in the novel so Portia dyed her hair brown for the role.
In 2015, Portia starred in the USA Network television series, Mr. Robot, also starring Rami Malek and co-starring Christian Slater. Portia portrays Angela Moss, Elliot’s (Rami Malek) childhood friend and co-worker.
